WATER PLANT OPERATOR

The City of New Carlisle is accepting applicants for the position of full-time Water Plant Treatment Operator in the Water Department. This is manual work involving the operational control and maintenance of the Water Treatment Plant and Distribution System. Performs routine inspections, lubricates equipment and adjusts plant equipment on a predetermined and scheduled basis. Will perform watermain break repairs and fire hydrant replacement. Applicants must have prior experience in heavy equipment operation, plumbing, electrical, pumps and pump and motor controls. Water Operator must be willing to work in all weather conditions. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Possess a current Water Supply 1 Certificate issued by the OEPA or obtain within three years of hire. Applicant must have or obtain a Class (B) commercial driver’s license within 1 year of employment. Applicants must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Water Plant Operator scale (without license scale $22.25-$26.00) (With License scale $24.25-$28.00). License Incentive Policy will add .50/hr. per license earned above a Class 1 Ohio EPA Supply License in the water department. The City of New Carlisle is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
