Laboratory Technician/Operator

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The City of New Carlisle, Ohio is currently accepting applications for the position of Laboratory Technician. This position is located within the Wastewater Department and is responsible for the Laboratory duties of the City’s Wastewater and Water system. Duties include testing wastewater and drinking water in order to meet all applicable Ohio E.P.A requirements. Applicants will also perform Wastewater operation and maintenance duties as needed. Applicant may assist other City departments as needed. Applicant must be willing to work in adverse weather conditions and must possess an Ohio EPA Class I Wastewater Treatment Operator’s License or obtain within 3 years of hire. Possess a valid Ohio Class (B) Commercial driver’s license or obtain within (6) months of hire. Applicants must also be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background check. Pay scale is: (with license $23.36 – $25.56) (without license $21.39 – $23.32) DOQ. The City of New Carlisle is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
