Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator

The City of New Carlisle is accepting applicants for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Position. This is manual work involving the operational control and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Facilities. Performs routine inspections, lubrications and adjust plant equipment on a predetermined and scheduled basis. Operations include, but are not limited to, sludge disposal operations, collections, distribution system maintenance. Experience in plumbing, electrical, pumps and pump motor controls are desired. Operators must be willing to work in all weather conditions. Must possess a High School Diploma or GED. Possession of a current wastewater supply 1 certificate issued by the OEPA or obtained within 3 years of hire. Possession of a Class (B) CDL or obtain within 1 year of hire. Applicant must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Wastewater Treatment Operator (without license scale $21.89-$23.82) (with License scale $23.86-$26.06). License Incentive Policy will add .50/hr. per license earned above a Class 1 Ohio EPA Treatment License in the wastewater department. Position open until filled.
